Travel & Love

If there is any place

I would rather be,

It is everywhere

Or no where will I be.

Snowy white peaks

Verdant lush of greens,

Cool caressing winds

Rolling surfs,

Lakes so pristine..

Soft sands slipping under feet

Ships on deserts

With Bells tinkling

Shiny sky,

Teasingly twinkling

Nostalgic history

And winding cobbled streets

Leading through time to

Saddened walls of ruins;

Smells and sights so intriguing,

Warmth of strangers touching,

Call of the distance

Tugging at heart

Time and again…

My feet will never stop treading

All paths and places unseen

But ever if my heart stops

Or feet never move

I will lie there –

Upon the fields of green

Under the icy blue of the skies

The soft white pearls

In my eyes

Till I am wrapped in

The neverness of everlasting life.

Little Heart

mural-1347673_960_720

A little heart, afraid to trust

The first steps on earth…

A little fear, an unknown flutter inside

Tiny wobbly unsure of touch

Little steps, one at a time

A small smile accepting

Touch of love

Jumping, running, tossing, turning,

Playful in its merry self

Oblivious to the unknown

A step was taken –

A step too long into the darkness

But soon the light shone..

The light of everlasting happiness

In the soft arms of tender love.

The little heart now drifted

Into tiny dreams

Smiling inwardly…

Sleeping tenderly,

No fear will ever touch

The little heart that feared.

A Waiting

waiting

The heart moved slow

Losing its beat,

A song of life

Accepting defeat,

The mind could not feel

The rhythm of its surroundings

Visions were blurred

But something far far away

Strained its strings…

A waiting for the last song

Touch of the known

Voice of someone close

What is it? Who was it?

The eyes could not tell

The ears never heard

A smile was not formed

By the curling of lips

Joy could not find voice

Nor was there a stir …

Only the soul felt the warmth

Of that known soul

Bound alone by the music of love,

Of faith & trust.

A little sign found its way –

An great effort was made

To show happiness that was known

Someday, in a land too far away.

A ripple of soothing calm

Drowned all sorrows

No grief touched

Only a release from

The ties on earth;

A love was felt,

No pains remained –

And yes, at last

A waiting will be no more…

At last amidst the heaven above

A home was found.

A Promise…

Gir Evening

In the fallen leaves

Of withering autumn

The winter chills

And gray so still

Cool summer breeze

Every new leaf

Flowers of spring

I SEE YOU…

In morning calmness

Quiet of the noon

Late night’s bright moon

In all things good,

All things seen

Flowing of a stream,

Burst of shower

I FEEL YOU …

In little cloudy faces

Blue skies on clear days,

Whispers of sea

Comfort of warm waves

Dying sun far away

Rolling lush of greens

Kiss of sweet mist

I MISS YOU …

Realm of earth

Can never hold back

All that is pure,

As some day in a wonderland –

Beyond known paths,

Reasons of trapped hearts,

All words unsaid,

I WILL MEET YOU …

Please hold on my friend

For my days have not waned,

No, not yet –

But I will be there, soon I know,

To see you

Love & hold,

And never to say adieu again.

Life on Tide

Lonely Boat, gray water & gray sky – Sunderban National Park

A little black boat

Floats where molten gold merges

With gray somber sadness.

The little black boat

Holds a bundle in its heart

A sad tired soul.

A lone little boat

No island in the distance

Only water surrounds.

Life has no meaning

When the unnameable strikes

Yet they need to fight.

Woman adorns white

Her man may never return

Life has no colour.

He must live, sail back

To be one with her again

Life is not easy.

Supplies have run dry

His son cries, hungry he sleeps

So he must provide.

Scorching sun burns deep

Salt eats away aging skin

Air stands heavy, still.

If storm comes unseen,

Or tides change their course at will

All his dreams will end.

Dreams are luxury

Uncertainty is the truth

As life plays with death.

Yet she waits for him:

Her ‘jele’ will sure return

He dreams on, she prays.

Lyrical ripples

Dance; Matla intoxicates

In the last daylight.

Wait never ceases

Here in the gray tide country

Miseries live on.

Boat in the last day light – Sunderban National Park

The Silver Shine

The Silver Shine

Oh dear moonlight!

You are the true jewel of the night

I can never tell how sweet you look,

In your flowing silvery gown

That shines and paints a picture bright

Of a night so true, calm and quiet.

Your doting lover never ceases to wait

For the kiss of your soft silver touch

Upon the silken darkness of his skin –

A gift of the sun…

You never cease either, to please

Your sublime sylvan lover,

With a shy embrace,

A magical charmer that you are!

You fill him with your love

Flowing into his heart;

Or sometimes just playfully,

Engulf him completely

With your divine light

As you glide by relentlessly.

The wind stands witness and so does the sky,

The river flowing by

And that little faraway light –

To your passion and union.

Nothing that has not beheld your beauty

In the serenity of a night so quiet

Can ever tell the story

Of your endless love that is now and forever.

What am I?

Just a speck of mud

Or a tiny glow worm perhaps

Looking at your everlasting love –

A dedication that willingly takes

Upon itself all that he has to give.

Or is it something deeper in intensity?

A promise: to be there,

To hug and softly caress

Till the end of time when nothing remains,

But only your silvery threads –

Weaving the net to hold you tight

Into a completeness

Of filling each other with only yourselves.

A Little Lost Soul

A little lost soul weak with fear

Living in the corner all alone,

Starving each day with no one near

As mother said goodbye forever.

The little lost soul awaited her doom

Fighting hunger, thirst and fever;

Just round the corner,

On a heap of broken glasses

The broken soul slept alone

No one to protect, no one to hold.

The dark days got darker

The vision slowly blurred,

The little soul slowly crept away

Out of the body, to where mother was.

One day a gentle giant saw the little soul –

Touched with love, reached out little hands

Pleading to take her, heal her wounds.

The giant took her, gave a light of hope

As it found a home in the giant’s arms

In soothing friendship’s gentle warmth.

The broken glasses, hunger and thirst

Fear, weakness, visions blurred

Said goodbye to the little soul

Who was lost no more.

But happiness does not last forever

The little soul awaits a future

Where she will be lost yet again;

The giant says it can never –

Keep her sheltered or protect her or be the giver

Forever in to the years to come,

As the giant home will disappear

Like some magic chant, into the dead

Of the hollow tomorrow.

The lost soul is now not lost

But will be lost again

She needs another gentle giant

To take her home and soothe

Her little lost soul.

Where is the gentle giant?

Only in the world of fantasy

Or love and tenderness can be seen

In this world too, in the world of uncertainties?

Is there no place on earth for this little lost soul…

Where she can live without dread of being alone

In the cold of the night, with no one to hold?

She cries into the dark foreverness

She longs for a place

Which she can call her home, where she will be loved again.
